Visiting King Her Feng Industrial Corp. Bag Factory – A Child’s First Step Toward Career Inspiration

Located in Dajia, Taichung, King Her Feng Industrial Corp., a bag manufacturer with over 30 years of history, recently welcomed a group of adorable little visitors—the children of local Ai Li Mei Kindergarten. Accompanied by their teachers, the kids happily toured this local factory, full of handmade warmth, embarking on an exploration journey that combined educational experiences, environmental awareness, and creative practice.

For many of the children, this visit marked their very first step into a real factory space. Guided by friendly and engaging tour hosts, they listened attentively and observed every detail of the bag-making process—from design concepts, fabric cutting, and sewing to quality inspection. The children were full of admiration for the dedication and focus of each craftsman, quietly planting the seeds of curiosity and imagination about the world of future careers.

King Her Feng Industrial Corp. also prepared a special “Fabric Mini-Class,” introducing the diverse materials commonly used in the factory—including lightweight yet durable nylon, sturdy canvas, and functional nylon fabrics with water-repellent properties. During a live “water-splashing experiment,” when water droplets rolled off the fabric surface without soaking through, the children gasped in surprise and applauded enthusiastically. Many eagerly stepped forward to touch the fabrics themselves, experiencing firsthand the wonder and uniqueness of the materials.

In terms of environmental education, the guides interacted with the children through simple analogies and fun quiz games, sharing concepts such as “Good materials should not be wasted” and “Environmental protection goes beyond recycling.” The kids actively raised their hands to answer questions, filling the atmosphere with both laughter and learning, while gently nurturing an early awareness of sustainability.

Finally, the children participated in a hands-on DIY fabric patch activity, decorating pieces of cloth with their own creativity. Through this playful experience, they developed both manual skills and creative expression. Teachers remarked that the activity not only gave the children a sense of accomplishment but also enriched their life experiences, helping them gain early exposure to the realities of society and the diversity of careers.

Rooted deeply in the local industry, King Her Feng Industrial Corp. has long been committed to bridging industry and education. Through visits and hands-on learning like this, the company hopes to help more children discover the dedication and value behind “Made in Taiwan,” while nurturing from an early age their appreciation for craftsmanship, care for the environment, and concern for society—collectively preserving Taiwan’s precious culture of craftsmanship and building a sustainable future.
